Top travel locations to visit in Europe and car rental offers? You couldn’t come to Paris without making the most of the world’s largest museum. Its maze of corridors, galleries and stairways create a city within a city – especially when you take into account the numbers that visit (a whopping 10.2 million in 2018). Be patient and make your way steadily through the crowds. There are 35,000 works on public display, split across eight departments and three wings, but you’d be best picking the parts you want to see beforehand. If you want a few starter tips, we recommend a trip to the impressive Islamic arts galleries, which opened in 2012. For the Mona Lisa, head to the Salle de la Joconde.
Now, this is a gem – one of the best Croatia destinations that a tourist can select. The question is, ‘what’s so special about this national park?’. This national park has been listed since 1979 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a place where 16 crystalline lakes form a surreal atmosphere. All these lakes are connected with each other with waterfalls. It is not a free place to roam around and requires visitors to buy a ticket. The best way to wander around the park is on foot, and it will take approximately 6 hours or so. But it is worth the time spent. With more than 120 bird species and resident wolves and bears, this national park never fails to woo the travelers who travel to Croatia. Just one thing to remember – swimming isn’t allowed in any of the lakes. Also, those who want to explore via buses and boats, they are most welcome to do so with free services provided by the park.
Among the most beautiful villages in the Netherlands are the small hamlets along the Ijsselmeer (Lake Ijssel), the freshwater lake that resulted from the closing of the sea entrance to the Zuider Zee. These towns flourished during Amsterdam’s Golden Age, when they had access to the Atlantic and prospered as fishing and trade centers, but lost importance as the harbors silted up. Time seems to have stood still for the fishing village of Marken and the seaports of Volendam and Enkhuizen, where many of the colorful houses have become museums and shops. Enkhuizen has preserved many of its buildings and seafaring industries in the open-air Zuiderzee Museum, where the cultural heritage and maritime history of the old Zuiderzee region is preserved. Here, you can see craftsmen at work learning old maritime skills. In Volendam’s harbor, you can see a collection of colorful old wooden boats.
Also known as Notre-Dame Cathedral, this structure is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. It is also one of the largest churches in France. It is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Paris and contains the cathedra of the Archbishop of Paris. Its treasury is home to many of the most important relics in Catholicism. These include one of the Holy Nails, a fragment of the True Cross, and the Crown of Thorns. Construction of the cathedral began in 1163 and was completed in 1345. It has two towers that are 226 feet high. Notre-Dame suffered significant damage during the 1790s as a result of the French revolution. Restoration did not begin until 1845. The cathedral is home to the Archaeological Crypt of the Paris Notre-Dame. This houses historical ruins. See even more details on https://es.autoeurope.com/.
